Dack

Young Dack was a Rebel gunner assigned to the Alliance forces on the ice planetHoth. Among his duties was to serve as gunner on Luke Skywalkers's snowspeeder. Dack died defending the Rebel base from Imperial AT-ATs when Skywalker's snowspeeder tooka hit from a walker's weapom fire.

Dagobah

The swamp planet Dagobah resides in an explored but sparsely populated star system of the same name. The planet, shrouded in mist and covered by clinging vegetation,was the home and hiding place of Yoda, the Jedi Master. Neighboring planets throughtoutthe Sluis sector consider it to e a haunted place due to its connection to the DarkJedi of Bpfash. The evil rampage of the Dark Jedi came to an end on the swamp planetafter the group terrorized the systems of the Sluis sector during the Clone Wars.The dark cave Luke fought Vader in during his training with Yoda was the result ofa fight between the Jedi Master and a Bpfassh Dark Jedi.

Dantooine

Dantooine, a remote planet far from the centers of civilization, once housed thebase of operations for the Rebel Alliance.

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith

Darth Vader epitomized the Emperor's New Order. Standing two meters tall and dressed in flowing black robes and black body armor, Vader was a tangible evil and symbol of the Emperor's doctrine of rule through fear and terror. He was a servant and emissary of the Emperor, and later commanded the vast fleet charged with finding and destroying the Rebel Alliance.
Vader was once Anakin Skywalker.Learning from his master Obi-Wan Kenobi proved to be too slow for him, and he was gradually pulled toward the Dark Side of the Force.
Darth Vader helped the Emperorhunt down and exterminate the Jedi Knights during the last days of the Old Republicand the opening moments of the Empire. Later, he was sent to help Governor Tarkindevelop the original Death Star battle station. Once the Rebellion demostrated it was a significant threat to the New Order, Lord Vader was put in charge of the Imperialfleet assigned to find and destroy the Alliance leaders. The mission took on personalsignificance when Vader discovered that the Rebel's newest ally was his own son,Luke Skywalker. Both the Emperor and Vader wanted to convert young Skywalker to theDark Side, but Vader had his own agenda. He wanted himself and Luke to rule the galaxyside by side as father and son.
Luke's faith in his father's innate goodnesswon the day, bringing Anakin out of the darkness of Darth Vader and back into thelight. He saved Luke and destroyed the Emperor, but at the cost of his own life.Vader's final act was to look upon his son and tell him he was right.
